Vasilas has been in the dance studio since age four and began competing nationally by the time she was eight years old. She performed with the same company until graduating from Booker T. Washington high school for the Performing and Visual Arts. There after she attended The College of Santa Fe where she continued to train, choreograph and perform in musical theater, Jazz, Tap, ballet, modern, hip hop, African and Multimedia dance productions. She graduated magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts. During College she traveled to Zimbabwe, Africa to do a cultural exchange and study African dance and drum.
Currently, Vasilas dances with some of New York's most diversified professional dance companies, and freelances with several talent agencies. She also gives dance workshops and classes in the U.S. and Europe. With Sybarite, NYC/L.A./Miami based dance agency, Vasilas has performed in the Hip Hop Film Festival at Symphony Space and with rap artist Medusa at SOB's. With Vissi Dance Theater, Vasilas has headlined with Savion Glover at Aaron Davis Hall, opened for Grace Jones at The Crobar, danced in feature film Starting out in The Evening, performed at City Center in the 49th Annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters, and at Jacob's Pillow in the 2006 season.
Her credits also include featured dance roles in; Ballywood feature film, “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna”; PGT production shows (Central and South America, Mexico, Caribbean, Canada and Alaska), T.V. dance series Get Your Groove On, and a featured dance and drum role in FireDance (Los Angeles).

The Vissi Dance Theater was founded in 1997 by dancer/choreographer Courtney Ffrench. Vissi dancers are from all over the world and bring with them their cultural diversity and unique perspective on artistry. The style of dance can be described as Urban Contemporary; a spirited combination of all forms including but not limited to Jazz, House, Modern (Dunham), West African, Funk, and Ballet.
