New York City-based Multimedia Dance Artist Sarah Vasilas illuminates the stage with fresh, innovative performances.  Having graduated from The College of Santa Fe with a Self-Designed Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts, Vasilas creates theatrical productions that fuse dance, sculpture, video, and original music.

In May 2005 Vasilas premiered her original multimedia dance work, FusionFEED, at Performance Space 122 with co-artist Leonardo Smith. Dance journalist Eva Yaa Asantewaa called it an “exuberant multimedia piece” with “bold visual affects…often bringing to mind the late choreographer Alwin Nikolais's abstract techno-theater.”  New York Times called it “arresting”.

In addition to her multimedia dance work Vasilas also performs with several touring dance companies.  She is well versed in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern, House, Musical theatre, African and Ethnic Contemporary.  Vasilas has taught, performed and studied dance in the states, Europe and Africa.

In New York she has worked with choreographers Jamel Gains, Pascal Rokert of Jennifer Muller The Works, Courtney Ffrench of Vissi Dance Theater, Farah Khan of Broadway's Bombay Dreams, and with Sybarite (NYC/L.A./Miami based dance agency).  She has most recently worked with choreographers Tony Meredith, choreographer from Dancing with The Stars/So You Think You Can Dance, and Melinda Roy, former New York City Ballet principle Dancer/choreographer of Broadway's Urban Cowboy.
